Indian Agricultural Research Institute
Indian Agricultural Research Institute in Pusa is India’s topmost Institute dedicated to the research, study and extension of agricultural practices. Established in 1905, this Institute was responsible for the commencement of the Green Revolution. This pioneer institute has 20 divisions 5 multi-disciplinary Centres situated in Delhi. It has the staff strength of 3540 comprising scientific, technical, administrative and supporting personnel. The campus consists of Hostel, auditorium, sports activity centre, library, well equipped labs and guest house. The institute aims to conduct basic and strategic research for the understanding of the processes, which lead to crop improvement and sustainable agricultural productivity in compliance with environment and add value to this information and use it for analyzing impact of development on national agriculture.
