Now a heritage resort, the fortress was once the proud property of the Chauhan Kingdom which experienced troubles with the British marching in. After the stint with the British, in 1947 the fort palace was under Raja Rajinder Singh who soon had to quit living there as its old defensive & protective wall barriers & frontage began to give way. The property was transformed to a heritage resort 40 Yrs later by Aman Nath with Francis Waziarg.
The fort palace has more to offer apart from the relaxing spa 7 breathtaking views. Though efforts have been made to preserve the architectural heritage associated with the fortress’ history, changes have been made to lend relevance in view of the modern lifestyle.
Its elegant rooms & suites, aptly titled for their feel, provide a unique chance to see & live history. Each room has its own distinctive character, comfort & feel to it.
