Located in ITC Maurya, this restaurant is considered one of the best restaurants in Delhi and is known for its bringing forth intense flavours and leisurely luxury of slow cooked food made from authentic recipes garnered from the royal kitchens of Awadh. Their Hyderabadi Kachhi Gosht Ki Biryani is a hit with everyone. A meal for two will cost you approximately Rs 3000.

This is a very small eatery located in the Elaichiwali Gali in Old Delhi & serves divine Biryanis. Each of their Biryanis is prepared the whole night on low flame to ensure the right mixture of flavours & aroma comes through. Served from 9 AM to 2 PM, a meal for two will cost you approximately Rs 200.

In the lanes of Nizamuddin, you will come across this modest outlet which serves the best Mutton Biryani in town, cooked effortlessly in humongous steel pots. You can't miss this place, as the smell of the food will lead you right to it. The Biryani with its succulent pieces of meat and aromatic rice is best enjoyed with their chutney. A meal for two will cost you approximately Rs 200-300.

Andhra Bhavan is known for its awesome & affordable South Indian fare where on any given day, you are likely to find the place jam packed with hungry souls. Deez is famous all over Delhi for their Biryanis. They have outlets in CP, Naraina, Dwarka, Noida, Defence Colony & DLF. This place serves the best Biryani outside Old Delhi sealed in handis and is prepared just as it was back in the day during the Mughal rule however, this is more of a takeaway and you have to place your order at least 3 hrs in advance if ordering in bulk. One kg of Mutton/Chicken Biryani will cost you approximately Rs 450-550. A plate of Chicken Biryani will cost you Rs 50.

Alkakori Alkauser


Alkakori Alkauser has three outlets & not all of them have seating arrangements. It is the place to head to, if you are looking for delicious & affordable Biryanis that are cooked in the original ‘Dum’ technique. Mutton, Chicken & Veg options are available although the Mutton Biryani is by far the best with its long aromatic rice grains and succulent pieces of mutton, cooked in a Handi (earthen pot) & served with Mutton Korma. Their Kakori Kababs are also to die for! A meal for two will cost you approximately Rs 400.
