So Delhi Confluence 2015 | Post Event Coverage

Throw in bloggers and Social Media Influencers of all kinds and forms, from fashion, food, travelling to technology, along with the biggest brands in lifestyle today and voila! - you get an effervescent cocktail of conversation, fun and emerging topics of debate that will transform the social landscape of the country. This is what happened at Summer House Cafe in the heart of South Delhi on 1st August 2015.

From over a whooping 1500 online registrations, we then winnowed out the cream - the top 200 bloggers & social media influencers and mixed that in with around 100 leading business brands in the country, including H&M, Swatch, ITC, Taj Hotels, Sony, The Body Shop, Fitness First and many more.

The Confluence - an amalgamation of Content + Influencer Marketing Conference, kick-started with a quick introduction by So Delhi Founder and CEO, Digant Sharma, who illuminated the importance of quality content creation and the rapidly-gaining-traction concept of Influencer Marketing.

One of the highlights of the evening was the panel discussion between the blogger panelists which included distinguished names such as Komal Khulbe (www.thedelhifashionblogger.com), Mehak Shahani (www.wedmegood.com) and Neeru Singh (www.eatstory.in). The floor was then thrown open to all the participants for all manner of debate, impromptu speeches and lots more, building up a revitalized landscape of social media all around.

“It’s interesting to meet bloggers from different fields in one place. I really enjoyed the panel discussion, especially the questions from the businesses which gave us a better understanding of what they, as businesses expect from us bloggers.”
- Mehak Shahani from www.wedmegood.com

After all that brainstorming, an electrifying Violin performance by Bella courtesy of Himalayan Natural Mineral Water enthralled and left the crowd speechless throughout especially her version of ‘Jai Ho’ from the Slumdog Millionaire soundtrack.

“The So Delhi Confluence is a good platform for everybody to get together especially the bloggers, who have so much to share from the different industries that they come from. In terms of the brands, it’s about the exposure to the various people; since essentially everybody is a consumer whatever industry they come from.”
- Ankita Chaudhary, Brand Manager, Himalayan Natural Mineral Water.

What followed was a lively introduction of PepperTap - The Grocery App followed by One Touch Response, an emergency app for women on the lines of 911.

Ever lazily wondered where you could get good, sound advice on what to wear when and buy it at the same time? Well, Fehmida Baba from Roposo enlightened the crowd about India’s biggest fashion community and fashion influencer marketing. Team Roposo also organized a fun pop quiz for all the fashionistas in the house, giving away amazing goodies for every right answer.

So we’ve had activities, discussions and fun galore, lets have us some laughs now shall we?
After a sensational introduction by, yes, Utsav Chakraborty, from the Satan Bhagat fame, we were then regaled with Manik Mahna’s particularly zestful brand of comedy to the hilarious delight of all.

All that comedy sent up some hunger pangs, so came Cremica to the rescue. They set up a ‘Make Your Own Sandwich’ counter for the guests to try their hands at assembling some yummy sandwiches using their unusual concoctions. While only 3 creative cooks got to take home big hampers filled with Cremica goodies, we all simply devoured our creations and had some blissful eats.

Getting down to business, we then enjoyed an energetic discussion on ‘How to Monetize your Confluence’, with a distinguished panel of business heads including Udit Malhotra, a Digital Marketing Specialist & Nikhil Pallat from The Lalit Hotels Group who answered a volley of questions lobbed at them by the bloggers.

The party then moved on to the much-awaited Raffles give away, where 10 lucky winners were bestowed treasures such as hotel stays, meal vouchers, designer sunglasses and lots more.

Nothing is ever complete without music, is it? Which is why we decided to go out with a bang, oops no, a BAND - Chizai, who stole the show and got the crowd crooning with its Coldplay song renditions and we all got down to some serious rocking!

Yes, we didn’t want it to end either! *taking a bow*
