Delhi is quite famous for its Paranthas. We have all heard of the famous Parantha Wali Gali in Old Delhi which is a small & very old Gali where you can find some of the best Paranthas in town which has been in existence for more than 140 years however there are many other places in town where you can relish a great Parantha, best enjoyed with a thick and creamy lassi!
This is a very famous Parantha shop in the famous Parantha Wali Gali. This shop started in 1872 & ever since they have been serving delicious Paranthas. Late PMs, Pt. Jawaharlal Nehru & Indira Gandhi, Akshay Kumar and many other famous people have all tasted Gaya Prasad’s famous Paranthe. They have around 40 different varieties on their menu where you can try Aloo Ke Paranthe, Gobi Ke Paranthe & Mooli ke Paranthe etc. You must also try their Banana Parantha & Papad Parantha! The price of one can be anywhere between Rs 25-45.

Located in Paratha Wali Gali, this is one of the other shops that you can visit to try some great Paranthas. They have the usual Aloo Paranthe, Gobhi Paranthe, Tomato Paranthe & Papad Paranthe however, they also have some unique variations (you will not find them anywhere else) like the 16 Layer Paranthe, Banana & Nimbu Paranthe and Karela (Bitter Gourd) Paranthe. They all come reasonably priced at Rs 25-45.
This restaurant is conceptualized around being a bread bar offered in bite size portions. Here they pride themselves over all the different and unique types of breads they serve from Bakar Khani, Missi Roti & Gilafi Kulcha etc. The highlight is their Feni Parantha which must be tried.
