This place serves the best Biryani outside Old Delhi sealed in handis and is prepared just as it was back in the day during the Mughal rule however, this is more of a takeaway and you have to place your order at least 3 hrs in advance if ordering in bulk. One kg of Mutton/Chicken Biryani will cost you approximately Rs 450-550. A plate of Chicken Biryani will cost you Rs 50.
Alkakori Alkauser has three outlets & not all of them have seating arrangements. It is the place to head to, if you are looking for delicious & affordable Biryanis that are cooked in the original ‘Dum’ technique. Mutton, Chicken & Veg options are available although the Mutton Biryani is by far the best with its long aromatic rice grains and succulent pieces of mutton, cooked in a Handi (earthen pot) & served with Mutton Korma.
